Speech-Language Pathologists (SLP) within School District#23 are committed to working collaboratively in an education partnership to create a supportive environment that fosters successful communication and learning.
Functioning as an integral part of the School Based Team, the Speech-Language Pathologist may provide the following services:
- Communication assessments
- Adapting and creating materials
- Cooperative planning
- Curriculum planning
- Program planning for specific students
- Small group/individual skill training
- Coaching students in the classroom
- Demonstration of specific strategies in the classroom
- Team lesson presentation
- Workshops for teachers, parents and certified education assistants
- Consultation with parents and community service providers
