The École Casorso Elementary School Parent Advisory Council (PAC*) includes every parent or guardian of a student attending École Casorso Elementary School.

The PAC executive is elected by the membership at the September Annual General Meeting.  The executive is composed of the president, vice-president, secretary, treasurer, COPAC rep, Hot Lunch coordinator and members at large.

The PAC typically meets once a month (please check school calendar), in the school library to discuss school news, provide input on policies and procedures, and conduct the business of the council.

 

THE PAC AT CASORSO ENDEAVOURS TO:

Provide advocacy and support to the children and parents of the School; foster good working relationships with administration and staff; encourage parental involvement in the School; to serve as the parental voice to the Administration, Central Okanagan PAC (COPAC), School District 23 and the Ministry of Education; to organize and coordinate extracurricular and School spirit events; to raise money for items and events that enhance student learning.

The Casorso PAC is a volunteer organization. The PAC is a great way to be involved in your child’s education and improve the school community. It offers an opportunity to volunteer in your community, and foster relationships with other parents, teachers and administration.

There are multiple events throughout the year that rely on parent volunteers.  Please consider joining the executive or volunteering throughout the year. To learn how you can get involved please attend a monthly PAC meeting or contact the PAC executive.

 

*The PAC is the legal organization recognized under the Provincial School Act, it was implemented to ensure parents are genuinely involved in advising educators and policy makers, locally and provincially in any matter related to the school, including education programs, services and operations.
