Building a Bounce Back Kid - Presentation for Families

Building a Bounce Back Kid - Presentation for Families

Building A Bounce Back Kid

Who: Any interested parents, educators or anyone who works alongside children.

Why: Why are some children able to recover quickly when faced with a difficulty or challenges in their life and others take longer and struggle more? How can you, as a parent, teacher, or someone who works with children and youth, help children tap into their strengths and develop coping skills to build resilience?

This workshop explores the protective factors that are identified in resilient kids. We teach you a framework that will help a child or youth to weave together the elements in their life and environment to become more resilient. 70% of mental disorders show up before the age of 18. You can help children learn how to build into their own mental health from an early age through the development of resilience.
